About our Scouts

Hi there! I am Anne-Geri’(or “Angie” or "Anj") Fann. My first name is pronounced "ann-juh-ree" (my parents were creative, not high! lol).

I credit my love of the Word to my preacher dad who taught me about Christ's presence in the Old and New Testaments and my elementary teacher mom who supplemented that truth and raised me in the most truly educational Sunday Schools ever.

My mission experience extends from birth to missionaries parents (New Zealand). Years later, I fell in love with the language and people of Honduras where I have lived and worked (off and on) since 1988. For around 20 years I taught Spanish to high school students. I have a Masters degree in theological studies, but also an accidental degree in Spanish from taking so many classes to improve my fluency! I do often offer theology and missions/anthropology classes at different universities.

David and I have two awesome boys. Borrowing from a song based on James 4:14, I believe that "my life is just a soul trapped in a little dust" so I do try to "squeeze the marrow" out of every moment. Hi, I’m Kara! I’m considered the guru of Photo Management and production with The Scripture Scout. In other words, if I don't take the photos myself I am allowed to “thumbs down” stuff that isn't amazing, doesn't match the topic, or just plain doesn't work (like that selfie of Anj in Cocoa Beach haha). Many days you might see me taking professional shots of folks when they are at their finest (graduation, wedding, families, cute newborns, and many other moments when people smile) and my goal is to show the beauty, grace, strength and enthusiasm of those hearts and faces. I also have two rockin’ girls and a husband of hummuna-hummuna years. All that being said...
